Today agricultural sector in India accounted for around 17% of GDP which employs more than 50 % of total workforce. India ranks second worldwide in farm output, and have become one of the world's largest suppliers of rice, cotton, sugar and wheat. We (India) exported around $45 billion worth of agro produce, making it 6^th largest agricultural exporter to more than 120 countries primarily in USA, EU, SAARC, Middle East and Southeast Asia.

With the immensely benefited to agricultural sector from 1^st Green Revolution, we are now planning for 2^nd Green Revolution which will help not only production and output but also in sustainable development for our next generation and with the view point to maximise farmers profit as well as to enhance India’s share in worldwide agricultural export.
